Hobbit is a coming 3-year-old (Fall 2022) gelding with unlimited potential and the BEST personality. Hobbit is personable, quiet, easy-going... He is like a little sponge ready to soak up all the knowledge! He has been handled daily since arriving at DEFHR as a yearling and was gelded at 2-years-old. Hobbit started in a light training program last year where he has learned basic groundwork skills such as lunging, round penning, moving hindquarters and forequarters, backing, trotting in hand, and obstacles. Hobbit has been tacked up (light english saddle) and sat on by a light rider. He has all the prep work to come back next fall to start his career in any direction his adopter wants to go! Hobbit is a special guy... He is the perfect horse for someone looking to be a part of a young horses start, as he will be a straight-forward start with the help of a professional. He is a favorite of one of DEFHR's staff trainers with his kind nature and goofy personality.
