Participants in this program our given the opportunity to “adopt” one of our horses. Grooming sponsors play a major role in their horse’s life through weekly grooming sessions with an assigned horse. This unique program allows you the time and place to build a special bond with a rescue horse. In addition, all “Equidopt” grooming sponsors will receive a DEFHR-​branded grooming kit, seasonal gifts, and opportunities to participate in quarterly ground clinics and an annual event at DEFHR.

*Note: All Equidopt grooming sponsors must first meet with a DEFHR trainer to confirm a match between handler and horse, and ensure the safety of all involved.
