Ed is a super sweet 1993, 15h grade Quarter Horse gelding seeking a home as a companion. Ed was loaned to his owner as a companion for her horse Moe, also available through our program, about two years ago. When she tried to return him, his previous owners no longer wanted him. So he is now looking for a home, preferably with his best bud, Moe.

Ed is an overall very kind horse to work around. Though he can be a bit head shy, he's quiet as long as his handler goes slow around his face and ears. He has been ridden in the past by a 9 year old, so he may still be okay for the occasional pony ride with a small child. However, his primary focus in life moving forward should be to live out his days as a companion, getting the pampering he deserves.

Being low man on the totem poll, Ed would be a great companion for a wide variety of horses. Due to age-related dental weaknesses, Ed does quid long-stemmed hay and receives hay pellets when stalled. He does well on grass when turned out. He is UTD on farrier and deworming, and his owner is willing to get his shots and Coggins updated before moving. His teeth have been regularly checked and have not needed a recent floating.

Ed's owner is getting out of owning horses, so many things will come with them, such as halters, blankets, sheets, hay, grain, etc.

This boy has lots of love left to give, so give him your consideration and let us know if you're interested.
