Alfonso is a handsome large pony gelding who loves attention and is ready for YOU to fall in love with him! Alfonso was started in training (and was cruising along!), but was found to be lame when it came time to start under saddle preparations. Unfortunately, radiographs indicate an old injury to the deep digital flexor tendon (right front) with adhesions to the navicular bone. Vet recommendations were not hopeful he would ever be sound enough for a riding career, but that he is pasture sound and would make the perfect pasture ornament! Alfonso is very easy to manage. He is currently living out 24/7, living on one balancer pellet meal a day, and is on no maintenance. He is good for the farrier, vet, and stands tied for grooming/bathing. He loads on the trailer and has done a variety of obstacle and groundwork.
