This position is for those who want day-to-day interaction with rescued horses. Caring for 70 horses would not be possible without the hard work and kindness of our volunteers.
On the Barn Chore Team, volunteers take part in a variety of tasks to help our horses throughout the day, some examples are:
Those interested in becoming a Barn Chore & Equine Care volunteer are required to attend a "Welcome to DEFHR" orientation session. Dates and registration can be found here .
