If you're looking for a pretty mare to join your herd and potentially enjoy some easy trails with, then Nikki may be your girl! Standing at approximately 14.2h and 14 years old, Nikki is seeking a new home due to her owner having to move in the near future and not being able to take her with them. Nikki has been with her owner since she was 3 years old. Soon after purchasing her, her owner found out that she was in foal and just about ready to pop! She had a beautiful colt (Dillon - also available) and started into riding once he was weaned. Her owner has used her for casual rides around the property.

Nikki gave her owner a run for her money when catching her, but once caught was very well-behaved. She stood quietly while she was groomed, feet picked and fly sprayed. Nikki has not been in a consistent riding routine for at least the last 4-5 years. Her owner got on her one time the week prior to our visit to see how she'd do and that's it. We were very pleasantly surprised to see her do so well when her owner got on her bareback with a halter and lead rope during our visit! She stood quietly for mounting, was lead around on a lead rope at a walk and stood quietly, once again, for dismounting. She didn't seem fazed one bit!

Nikki will need a refresher if you are looking to get her back into more consistent riding, but she shows every sign of that being an easy task. Due to some mild conformational variances in her hind legs, her owner feels she would be best for light riding. That being said, she appeared sound when we visited with her and actually has very nice movement.

Nikki lives outside 24/7 with two geldings. She is the boss of the herd, but fair. Nikki is an easy-keeper, barefoot, stands well for the vet and farrier, ties and fly sprays.
