Model Te Hotrod is a 1994, AQHA registered gelding standing approximately 15.2h tall who is seeking a new home due to his owner's life changes and selling the family farm. This boy spent his prime in the Western Pleasure show world before retiring to become a trail horse later in life. He is now seeking an owner who just wants to go on leisurely walk-only trail rides or even just love on him as a companion horse.

Te is a very sweet boy who really needs to bond with someone willing to devote the time and attention he deserves. In his old age, he has developed some anxiety when he thinks he's going to be taken from his friends or poked by a vet, but we think more regular interaction would help with that. Most of the anxiety he exhibits are also when he's in the barn. He is like a different horse once outside. That being said, despite his worries, he was a very good boy while being tied for grooming. He picked up all four hooves with ease and, though nervous, let us look him over from head-to-toe without issue.

We did not get to see Te ridden, but are told that he is very quiet under saddle and is typically the horse that friends and kids ride when visiting. Due to some age-related stiffness, Te is best suited for walk-only on the trail. He is trained Western, but could easily be ridden English as well. Someone wanting to just take some easy walks on the trail would probably really enjoy this guy.

Te is UTD on hooves, deworming and dental. His owner is willing to get him updated on shots and Coggins if needed. Te typically takes a dominant place in the herd, but is fair about it. He is good with both mares and geldings, an easy-keeper and would do well with 24/7 turnout. He stands quietly for the farrier and does well with a patient vet. If you're looking for a companion or an easy walk-only riding horse, Te could be your guy!
