Jade is a super sweet 2007, 16h Tennessee Walking Horse mare looking for a forever home as a companion. Her current owner purchased her from an Arkansas kill pen in May 2021. She is highly trained under saddle and it was discovered soon after her arriving in Maryland that she had an old injury to her right stifle, essentially ending her riding career. So she is now looking of a home where she can be loved on by any level of handler.

Her docile temperament and loveable personality make her a great horse for a more beginner owner or small children to love on. She is good in a stall, ties and stands well for grooming, and is just overall an easy horse to work around. She's good for the vet and farrier, bathes, sprays and loads well. We could tell as Jade was being groomed that she was just soaking up all of the attention and loving every second of it. We have a feeling this girl would stand for hours if it meant she'd get attention and pampering.

Jade is updated on farrier and deworming, but will need updated dental, shots and Coggins, which her owner may be willing to do before she goes to her new home. She is a very easy-keeper and is therefore stalled half-day to limit her grass intake. She could also be turned out 24/7 with either a muzzle or dry lot during grass seasons. Jade is turned out with both mares and geldings. She tends to be a more dominant mare in the herd, but is fair about it. She currently is not receiving any special medications to address her right stifle issue, so there is definitely room to add treatment if needed.
