Equidopt: Days End Farm's Monthly Pledge Opportunities

Give the "Gift of Life" to a horse in need !

Days End Farm Horse Rescue is asking supporters to become more active members of our lifesaving team by joining our Equidopt monthly pledge program.

Your monthly pledge of support is directly used to care for the more than 60 neglected and abused horses in our care. Your monthly donation also funds our nationwide humane education campaigns and community outreach programs -- helping to spread our message of compassion and responsibility for horses.

You can become an Equidopt sponsor for as little as $25 a month. But sponsorship gifts of $50, $100, $250, $500 or more are also needed and would be so appreciated.

You can sponsor all of the horses collectively or choose to sponsor one specific horse here at the farm.

What horse care costs

Here is what it costs to provide basic care and rehabilitation for one rescued horse: (p)

  • $ 25 Monthly - will provide yearly vaccinations for one abused horse
  • $ 40 Monthly - will provide the grain ration for one abused horse
  • $ 50 Monthly - Will provide a hoof trimming for one abused horse (Shoes $90)
  • $ 70 Monthly - Will cover the call charge for one vet visit for an abused horse.
  • $ 80 Monthly - will provide one dental check for one abused horse
  • $ 100 Monthly - Will provide medication for one abused horse
  • $ 200 Monthly - Will provide feed and shelter for an
  • $ 250 Monthly - Will provide veterinary care for one abused horse.
  • $ 300 to $ 500 Monthly - Will provide feed, shelter, routine veterinary care, farrier care and any rehabilitation necessary for an abused horse.
  • $ 1,000 Monthly - Will provide gas for use by farm vehicles for one year.
  • $ 1,500 Monthly - Will provide maintenance/ repairs on the facility
  • $ 2,500 Monthly - Will provide veterinary care for one year at Days End.
  • $ 4,000 Monthly - Will provide grain for all horses at Days End for one year.
  • $ 6,000 Monthly - Will provide the monthly facility rental ensuring that all Days End horses will continue to have a home.

All EQUIDOPT sponsors will receive a picture of one of our horses with it’s history and a monthly update of farm happenings. Most of the horses at Days End Farm come through animal control facilities following impoundment due to neglect or abuse. Many of them are severely malnourished, with significant health issues. They often come in with wounds and/or hoof deformities that require immediate intervention. Nursing each neglected or abused horse back to health costs on average $2,500 for the first six months!

Your tax-deductible contributions can provide total care and feeding for a horse for up to one full year.

  • For $50 per month, you will also receive a glossy photo and some fascinating facts about your special horse.

  • For $100 per month, you will also receive a plush version of your Equidopt horse, in a specially wrapped package. You'll also be recognized in our Annual Report and on our website.

  • For $250 per month, you will also receive a Days End t-shirt, an invitation to go behind the scenes for an exclusive tour, AND four “VIP” passes to one of our special events.
